You spend seven years working to get a feature film into production, you want the best people on it: Mario is one of those people. His score elevated the emotion and empathy in my film. But his core talent is his musical skill, and his ability to connect with a picture and find the right musical expression for key scenes. That’s what you hire a composer for, and that’s what Mario delivers. I constantly get comments on the score and never tire of hearing it played. Above and beyond the film, his music stands on its own feet. As I said, as a director you want to surround yourself with the best people – Mario is one of them.
